From 1965
until now, we have seen a massive growth in the spread of faith
among the people. When the diocese was born in 1965 with just
four mission stations, we had only a handful of Christians.
Now the number exceeds 80,000. We have 45 parishes and
several substations. We have spacious churches built with the help
of donor agencies and generous benefactors in many places. Spiritual
renewal is brought through constant visit to families, conducting
retreats, seminars and formation of SCC (Small Christian
Communities) also called BCC (Basic Christian Communities).
SCC is the declared priority of the diocese. People come in hundreds
to attend Sunday Mass and on other Feast Days. Through our schools
and hostels we give Christ and Christ's values to our people. |
