In tune with the slogan
"Health for all" the Diocese of Bhagalpur has initiated many
and varied methods to help people to achieve total health.
There are 4 hospitals, 29 dispensaries, 2 leprosy clinics, 2
homes for the aged and one home for the disabled. Thanks to
the dedicated and relentless services of the Sisters belonging
to different congregations working in the diocese!
In addition to the conventional health services, a number of
personnel are engaged in promoting herbal medicines which, on
the one hand have no negative side effects on the patients, it
ensures long term health. Another section of health workers
has made preventive health as their priority. Health education
and immunization programmes are some of the means through
which they undertake this challenging project. |
